Job Title: Entertainer 1 (Intro)
Department: Entertainment
Reporting to: Manager of Entertainment
Work schedule: 40-hour work week/ overtime may be required
Status: Full-time hourly non-exempt

Summary of duties: This is the first step into the entertainment department. On this level the employee is responsible for the learning and training required to work in and around our animals. This will include but not limited to working with crocodilians of all ages and sizes, venomous reptiles, non-venomous reptiles, and any other animals that management deems necessary to their work. This will include but is not limited to, performing with animals while handling and feeding in a safe manner, capture and restraint, transport and husbandry.

Primary duties:

1. Learn and perform all shows except role that require handling crocodiles.
2. Know all opening and closing procedures for the Entertainment department.
3. Be able to account for two areas of the Entertainment Department.
4. Learn and know all Gatorland policies and procedures.
5. Provide our guests with fun, smiles, and special memories.

Education, experience and specialized skills required:
High school or GED equivalency
No professional experience required
Basic public speaking skills or 6 months experience in theatre.
Must be physically able to perform above duties without any physical limit
