<p>Job Title:			Entertainer 1 (Intro)<br />
Department:		Entertainment<br />
Reporting to:		Manager of Entertainment<br />
Work schedule:		40-hour work week/ overtime may be required<br />
Status:			Full-time hourly non-exempt</p>
<p>Summary of duties:	This is the first step into the entertainment department.  On this level the employee is responsible for the learning and training required to work in and around our animals.  This will include but not limited to working with crocodilians of all ages and sizes, venomous reptiles, non-venomous reptiles, and any other animals that management deems necessary to their work.  This will include but is not limited to, performing with animals while handling and feeding in a safe manner, capture and restraint, transport and husbandry.</p>
<p>Primary duties:</p>
<p>1.	Learn and perform all shows except role that require handling crocodiles.<br />
2.	Know all opening and closing procedures for the Entertainment department.<br />
3.	Be able to account for two areas of the Entertainment Department.<br />
4.	Learn and know all Gatorland policies and procedures.<br />
5.	Provide our guests with fun, smiles, and special memories.</p>
<p>Education, experience and specialized skills required:<br />
High school or GED equivalency<br />
No professional experience required<br />
Basic public speaking skills or 6 months experience in theatre.<br />
Must be physically able to perform above duties without any physical limit</p>

Position:	</strong>		                         Public Relations Intern</p>
<p><strong>Description:</strong>	The public relations intern is responsible for working closely with the Director of Marketing to develop and pitch campaign to national and local media.  The intern will also be responsible for updating and maintaining the media contact database.</p>
<p><strong>Primary Responsibilities:</strong>	Coordinate with the Director of Marketing to see that all media deadlines are met and projects are completed within the prescribed timelines.   Assist with press release distribution to the media and follow-up calling for post release.  Handle special projects and ad hoc requests as needed.  </p>
<p><strong>Qualifications:</strong>	Currently working towards a bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, journalism or equivalent.  Ability to take direction and communicate effectively with internal and external contacts.  Ability to work well with others in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.</p>
<p><strong>Additional Requirements:</strong>	Must present writing samples for consideration from course work and/or previous professional work.  Must submit a letter of recommendation from one professor or previous employer.</p>
<p><strong>Compensation:</strong>		$8.00 – 9.00 per hour (roughly 20 hours per week)</p>
<p><strong>Program Start:</strong>		Feb/March</p>
<p><strong>Program End:</strong>		Oct/Nov<br />
