Gatorland Social Distancing Skunk Ape Ready For Action
Park Takes Social Distancing To Next Level With Own Character For The Cause
ORLANDO, Florida (May 15, 2020) – Gatorland®, the “Alligator Capital of the World™,” has brought in its very own social distancing expert to help the park get ready to reopen sometime very soon. “Social Distancing Skunk Ape,” The Florida Cryptid, knows all about keeping away from others and is perfect for the job. He tends to be more elusive than his cousin, Bigfoot, is “insistent that you stay distant,” and reminds guests to stay six feet apart. He’s also all about keeping your hands clean and sanitizing regularly.
Gatorland’s Social Distancing Skunk Ape has already made appearances in Gatorland’s popular YouTube show, “Gatorland Vlogs”, as well as their Facebook morning show, “School of Croc”. He will also be featured in informative in-park videos, as well as randomly appearing in the park for meet and greets, …. from a safe distance of course.

“Skunk Ape is uniquely qualified on keeping people apart,” says Mark McHugh, Gatorland’s President and CEO. “We have kids who watch School of Croc calling Skunk Ape their hero. Our super fans and park guests will learn a lot from him, for sure.”
Gatorland Skunk Ape T-shirts are already available for purchase in adult and child sizes on the Gatorland online gift shop at https://shop.gatorland.com/
The park has been receiving kind inquiries from Gatorland fans everywhere on how to help Gatorland employees and Gatorland animals while the park is temporarily closed. The best way to support Gatorland right now, according to Gatorland President and CEO Mark McHugh, is to shop online at Gatorland.com where visitors may buy tickets and annual passes for future visits, and at the Gatorland Webstore to order the official School of Croc T-shirt and other popular Gatorland items, that are shipped to addresses within the U.S. and overseas.
